Strategic focus, audience and ambition are at the operational core of most enterprises. Planning for the future and a pathway to reach strategic goals requires carefully considered communication to inform and activate a strategy. We worked with IADT to deliver the physical and digital strategy for 2024–28.
Audience insight and future focus
Strategic planning has a broader audience and lifecycle than standard publications. Our approach leverages this to target critical stakeholders, signal change, and present a plan that feels inspirational and communicates clearly. People are at the heart of any strategy; their support is essential for project activation and success.
Clarity and simplicity
The underlying framework, visible across all applications, highlights a structured and methodical approach to strategic success. Pillars and objectives within an overall strategy can be extensive and interrelated, so delivering these in a clear and accessible way was critical to the final design.
People and planning
IADT commissioned portraits of staff and students, which feature in the publication and digital platform. These reinforce the potential for all stakeholders on a very human scale. Project lifecycle and progress reporting were other important considerations, such as mapping progress and communicating this easily over the strategy’s four-year period. Project design and the online platform allow for progress reporting and updates throughout the project lifecycle.

Working with colleagues in the creative space is always a pleasure. The IADT strategy production team, Daithí, David and Ruth, had very clear and direct goals, allowing us to deliver the publication and digital platform in a very short timeframe. Project photography was delivered by the very talented Johnny Savage.
