The Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) shares, develops and conserves the Irish National Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art. Its online platform is the key access point for all audiences. We developed a versatile online platform to share the collection and promote their programmes and activities. This new site delivers on their mission to connect audiences and art, and to share the National Collection for now and for the future.

The project followed a user-centric methodology and went through several rounds of testing and design iteration at every stage in the process, from concept and architecture to navigation and design. The website serves many purposes including, an information directory, an events calendar, an online gallery, an archive, a learning resource, an editorial journal and a shop. We worked with internal teams and external suppliers to unite this in one space, making much of IMMA’s growing collection available to view for many for the very first time. We developed a versatile CMS and image library making management, updates and promotion a straightforward process.
